Movers and Shapers, Virginia Maitland and Front Range Women

Our current exhibit, “Movers and Shapers” features five influential and accomplished female artists in Colorado including: Virginia Maitland, Irene Delka McCray, Carley Warren, Virginia Folkestad, and Ania Gola-Kumor.

Artist Virginia Maitland has been an inspiration and mentor in the art community! She is featured in Redline's exhibit "The Transit of Venus," and is one of the original artists in Front Range Women.
Front Range Women was founded in 1974 by a group of artists and graduate students at CU, during a turning point in the history of women in the arts, when women began seeking greater visibility and validation in the art world.
